Created and produced by Toledo Aerial Media (TAM), the series captures the heart-pounding excitement and the human spirit that drives competitors toward greatness at the legendary National Tractor Pulling Championships (NTPC) in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Production is currently underway for Season 4, and it’s shaping up to be our biggest season yet. With new teams, new stories, and even more horsepower, Behind The Hook is leveling up once again.

Season 3 (2025): Legacy & Innovation

This season bridges generations as the Holman Brothers Pulling Team (Jim and Paul Holman) is featured alongside motorsports legend Ken Veney (and his wife Rona Veney)—a Hall of Fame drag racer turned tractor puller—and the super team at Simon Sez Motorsports (R.J. and Brandon Simon). Season 3 explores the evolution of the sport, where cutting-edge engineering meets deep-rooted tradition.

This season includes a special fourth episode that gives viewers an inside look at the origins of Behind The Hook—how the concept came to life, the inspiration behind the series, and the creative process that continues to shape it.

Season 2 (2024): Rising Stakes

As the competition heats up, Season 2 follows Emax (Joe Eder), Wicked Pulling Team (Doug, Renee, Grant, and Mason Theobald), and Bone Yard Pulling Team (Travis Schlabach). With higher expectations and bigger crowds, these teams face tougher challenges and showcase unmatched determination to rise through the ranks in a sport where every hook counts.

This season also includes a special behind-the-scenes look at the yearly 180th Fighter Wing F-16 flyover, giving viewers exclusive access to what goes into planning and executing one of the NTPC’s most iconic traditions.

Season 1 (2023): The Inaugural Journey

The debut season introduces audiences to the raw intensity of tractor pulling through the eyes of three dedicated teams: Foster Motorsports (Carmen and Rob Foster), Rampage Pulling Team (Kevin and Danny Schmucker), and Trump Pulling Team (Shane Kellogg). Their passion, grit, and behind-the-scenes hustle set the tone for the series—and the NTPC action doesn’t disappoint.
